The Story Of Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn and Bolebroke Castle

The year is 1528. Henry is at Bolebroke for hunting and hawking, yet his heart is set with Anne Boleyn and his mind is still in turmoil over annulling his marriage to Catherine and his desire for a male heir.

Experience the audio tour bringing Henry's courting of Anne Boleyn to life. Find out why he had six wives. Listen to Henry's thoughts and musings. Find out what he caught whilst hunting See how he feasted and how life went on in the kitchens - hear the servants chattering about goings on and what they thought about the king. Play a Tudor game. Costumed figures together with artefacts and furniture make the recreation of Tudor times fun and fascinating for both young and old.

Marvel at the magnificent carved oak 4 poster tester bed, see replicas of Henry's music and poetry, hear about the Groom of the Stool who was responsible for attending the king whenever he performed his natural functions - open the beautifully carved court cupboard and discover a chamber pot inside!

Open the door to the secret staircase, at the top of which is the hidey hole where priests sought refuge from the Kings men!
